Canva for dummies 💭

In order to learn make more use of your Canva account it is very important that you know how the tool can work. That's why I created "Canva for Dummies" a few tips and tricks and some interesting people to follow for inspiration and new tips! 

Templates

Canva gives out thousands of templates to use for almost every thinkable moment. You can use these templates for free to make them with your own twists, photo's and tekst. 

A few templates I like very much are: 

- Brown Minimalist Casual Fashion Collection Presentation

- Brown digital marketing resume 

- Cream Pastel Cute Natural Glowing Skin Herbs infographic

As you can see each template is made for a different kind of content, this can be online or offline content, whatever you want. You can find many more on the Canva platform. 

magic studio

A new way to use Canva is by using the magic studio, this is a form of chat GTP where you can let Canva create things by asking. The studio works in different ways:

- the most easy way is using the type bar, type anything in the bar and they instantly find all the templates that work for your question. For instance I typed "make a birthday card for my dog" and got the following templates. 


- you can also use it for text to image, text to video, expanding pictures, easy editing, animation, erasing, morfing and so much more. find more about the magic studio here. 
The only disclaimer is that you do need Canva pro for some of these features so please make sure you read the fine lines well! 

Apps 

Canva collaborates with lots of so called "apps" to make it even easier for you to use the tool. When opening a Canva format you will find the apps over here:


There are a lot of useful tools to find there, for example a QR code creator, translator, a tool to make mock ups, the Google maps app, HubSpot and even Instagram! A very easy way to make use of lots of tools via one platform. 

Canva for your company

If you want to use Canva for your company I strongly suggest to create a Canva pro account. By using a pro account you have to pay €20,- per month for up to 5 people. With the pro account you can use the "brand" tool and use your own fonds, colors, etc. You can also find them very easily because once you choose them for your style you will always find them under the tool "brand" in the Canva format.

DIY candle painting 💭🕯

One of the pictures that inspired me to paint the candles! Did you know you can make your own candle party! A very easy and fun activity to do with some friends. Last weekend my friend and I wanted to be creative, therefor we decided to paint candles. On Pinterest I had already seen lots of pretty pictures of other people who made their own creations on candles and that night we decided to try it out for our selves.  Turns out its a bit harder than we thought, that's why I will give you all of the tips of troubles we had so you won't have them during your paint night ;-)  Let's start with a grocery list. What do you need to buy? white diner candles ; waxiness with bold and bright colors (the light pastel colors won't work as well on your candle so keep that in mind); small brushes; a paper tablecloth;  Use the tablecloth to cover your table, you can use this to avoid getting the candle wax on your table and also to get the candle wax off of your brush.  light all the w

How to make your own posters with Canva and Pinterest.

Two of my favorite platforms I use daily, are Canva and Pinterest. With Pinterest I can search for creative thing to make and pretty content I like and on Canva I can create this content for myself! And today I will try to explain how I twist the content I find on Pinterest and make it my own via Canva. First a little introduction on Canva and Pinterest, in case you have never used either of these platforms. :-)    Canva   Canva is an online free creators platform, you can create lots of content via the platform like posters, presentations, video's, but also t-shirts, photobooks and much more!
